I ship Angel/Fred too! I think that his goofy dorky side comes out a lot more around her but they also both have very strong, assertive personalities and a really good sense of who they are.
Yes! I think that a lot of that comes out in his relationship with Cordy, too (and not with Buffy and Darla because those are turmoiled, tormented relationships), and Cordy and Fred both have that inner strength around him- and Fred’s relationship with Angel is interesting because she respects him from the start but his respect for her comes over time instead- very different than his usual type.
